What to Expect When You’re Expecting
There are a number of story lines going on but basically, it’s just a film of clichéd stories about prospective parents. And even if there are differences between the lives and situations of the expectant parents, there’s still nothing really exciting about their stories.
Everything in the film seems familiar. It’s too realistic that there’s nothing new or striking about it anymore. A few lines are good enough to make one laugh but all in all, nothing much is catchy or funny.
The star-studded cast didn’t help either. It only reminded me of the movie Valentine’s Day where everything seems flat - from the dialogue to the skits. Now, I have a phobia of films with intertwined situations.
What to expect from this movie? Nothing much. But well, the babies are cute though.

2012: Day 150

I stole the photo from our EiC’s profile. I just really want to show how successful TOAG is. Being one of the project heads to organize this event, I feel really proud right now that everything went well. And though my contribution was nothing compared to my co-project heads’ efforts, I still feel glad that I’m a part of this event’s success.

By the way, TOAG stands for The Outstanding Accountancy Graduates. It is an event aiming to recognize graduates who excelled in different categories.

PS: I was quite busy at the backstage to take photos.

2012: Day 149

I woke up early today for enrollment and so far, everything went well. The process was faster than usual and I find it really weird. Nonetheless, I am happy to say that I am now enrolled! It only means that I am now a certified Junior. Two years more and I shall graduate. Sounds exciting!

But then, I only have few days left to enjoy my very short summer break. On June 5, classes shall start once again in UST. A new school year is about to come. I wonder how it’ll be this time now that I have a new course and a new set of blockmates. I hope everything will be just fine. Now, I’m quite nervous.

Anyway, almost everything is all set for tomorrow’s event. I hope everything will go well tomorrow. My only problem now is what to wear. I still haven’t bought my own corporate attire. Gaaahd, I should have prepared my outfit a long time ago. :|

2012: Day 148

Today is my second time to Malagaslas Falls and Ambon Ambon Falls.

In order to get there, this time, we had to cross a bridge first. My sister, being afraid of heights, really freaked out on it.

Then, we had to hike and cross some rivers. The water was really cold.

The hard-est part was crossing over big, slippery rocks on the river.

Lasly, we had to climb up a wooden ladder. It may seem easy but actually, it wasn’t.

When we finally reached the falls, everything was worth it.

We brought some foods with us since we planned to stay in the place for a while.

I really enjoyed taking photos. Thanks to my handy DigiCam, I could even put some effects in the photos. xD

Later on, we headed to Villa Rose ‘cause the kids still want to swim. I stayed in the pool for quite long too just like my little nephew.

2012: Day 147

We went to Batangas today because it’s my grand aunt’s (older sister of my late mom’s mom) 86th birthday. We wanted to make her feel special and loved especially that she has no family of her own. She’s an old maid and she spent her youthful years taking care of us. Now that she has really grown old, it is our time to be the ones to take care of her.

—-

Our close neighbors went with us to our province Laurel Batangas. Being accommodating and hospitable, we then brought them to a place where we could have a good view of the famous Taal volcano.

After hiking a little, we reached the place where an old rest house was built. We refused to stay in it ‘cause it may collapse anytime soon.

Since there were no fisheries in the place unlike in other parts of Taal lake, my neighbors and some of my relatives decided to swim. There were few fishermen on their boats though.

While everyone was busy diving and swimming, I was enjoying my time taking photos. I only used a DigiCam though. Heh, I’m no photographer. I just really like to take photos especially stolen shots and scenery ones.

We stayed at the place till sunset and it was an awesome trip for me because I really am a big fan of nature.

Maroon 5 feat. Wiz Khalifa

"Payphone"

I’m at a payphone trying to call home
All of my change I spent on you
Where have the times gone?
Baby it’s all wrong
Where are the plans we made for two?

Yeah, I, I know it’s hard to remember
The people we used to be
It’s even harder to picture
That you’re not here next to me
You say it’s too late to make it
But is it too late to try?
And in our time that you wasted
All of our bridges burned down

I’ve wasted my nights
You turned out the lights
Now I’m paralyzed
Still stuck in that time when we called it love
But even the sun sets in paradise

I’m at a payphone trying to call home
All of my change I spent on you
Where have the times gone
Baby it’s all wrong
Where are the plans we made for two?

If happy ever after did exist
I would still be holding you like this
All those fairytales are full of sh*t
One more fucking love song, I’ll be sick

You turned your back on tomorrow
Cause you forgot yesterday
I gave you my love to borrow
But just gave it away
You can’t expect me to be fine
I don’t expect you to care
I know I’ve said it before
But all of our bridges burned down

I’ve wasted my nights
You turned out the lights
Now I’m paralyzed
Still stuck in that time when we called it love
But even the sun sets in paradise

I’m at a payphone trying to call home
All of my change I spent on you
Where have the times gone?
Baby it’s all wrong
Where are the plans we made for two?

If happy ever after did exist
I would still be holding you like this
And all those fairytales are full of sh*t
One more fucking love song, I’ll be sick

Now I’m at a payphone…

Man fuck that sh*t
I’ll be out spending all this money while you sitting round
Wondering why it wasn’t you who came up from nothing
Made it from the bottom
Now when you see me I’m stunning
And all of my cars start with the push up a button
Telling me the chances I blew up or whatever you call it
Switched the number to my phone
So you never could call it
Don’t need my name on my show
You can tell it I’m ballin’
Swish, what a shame could have got picked
Had a really good game but you missed your last shot
So you talk about who you see at the top
Or what you could’ve saw
But sad to say it’s over for
Phantom pulled up valet open doors
Wiz like go away, got what you was looking for
Now ask me who they want
So you can go and take that little piece of sh*t with you

I’m at a payphone trying to call home
All of my change I spent on you
Where have the times gone
Baby it’s all wrong
Where are the plans we made for two?

If happy ever after did exist
I would still be holding you like this
All those fairytales are full of sh*t
One more fucking love song, I’ll be sick

Now I’m at a payphone…

2012: Day 146

After two years since high school graduation, our section finally found time to reunite. Archie, the host of the event, entitled our reunion “The Matinee Idol: Party Time” for he considers himself a matinee idol.

The event was originally planned to start at 9AM but since most of my classmates are usually late like me, the organizers decided to change the time to 3PM. But then, being the usual me, I went to the venue at 7PM.

When I arrived, the food was already set on the table. They cooked everything except the pizza. My only help was the 100 pesos the organizers asked all to contribute.

Majority of us were Thomasians from different faculties and colleges. Some were even in their uniforms because they enrolled today. UST is pretty strict when it comes to uniform, you know.

We had so much fun today. We shared food, stories and experiences. We kept on reminiscing high school memories and laughed the whole time because all we could remember were the funny ones. We also played a game as part of our drinking session. I just had a few shots though.

For me, high school would always be the best. The kind of friendship and bond we have will always be solid. I’m definitely looking forward for another reunion with them and I hope that we’ll be complete next time.

2012: Day 145

I painted props today and I loved how dirty my hands were after.

———

Before I went home, I bought my mom a gift ‘cause today is her birthday. Since she mentioned to me that she needs new umbrella-ella-ella-e, I bought her one. I chose Grosser Schatten not only because it is water-resistant but also because it is against ultra-violet rays. It’s perfect especially now that we’re in the transition stage - summer to rainy season.

When I got home, I immediately wrapped and hid it. I waited for my sister to arrive so we could give our gifts at the same time.

My sister bought slippers for my mom and I loved it not only because it’s pink but also because of the stitched text Super Mom. My mom received a red lipstick from my sister too and she really loved it!
